Arabic Course 1 is a structured online Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) course designed specifically for non-native speakers. It guides complete beginners step by step from beginner to pre-intermediate level and is aligned with CEFR A1–A2 learning objectives. Explanations and translations are provided in English and Swedish.

The course consists of ten structured modules. Each module contains several lessons, homework assignments, a discussion forum, and a wide range of interactive exercises. These activities develop and assess reading, writing, listening, vocabulary, and grammar skills through varied and engaging methods.

Throughout the course, learners study more than 400 practical Arabic words and expressions. They begin with the Arabic alphabet, letter recognition, writing, and pronunciation before progressing to words, sentences, essential grammar, reading texts, and everyday dialogues.

Lessons and interactive exercises are supported by professionally recorded audio. The recordings feature several native Arabic speakers, helping learners develop accurate pronunciation, strengthen their listening skills, and become familiar with different voices and natural dialogue situations.

By the end of the course, learners will be able to read and write Arabic letters and commonly used words, understand familiar expressions, follow basic spoken dialogues, read short texts, write simple sentences, and exchange basic information in familiar everyday situations.

Learners can choose the study period that best suits their schedule:

  • 6 months: approximately 60 hours of study, or about 2–2.5 hours per week.

  • 1 year: approximately 60 hours of study, or about 1–1.5 hours per week.

The course is self-paced, allowing learners to organize their studies according to their own schedules and study whenever and wherever it is convenient for them. Throughout the course, specialized academic supervisors monitor each learner’s progress, answer questions, and provide guidance whenever needed.
